Court Costs in an Uncontested Gwinnett County Divorce Case
In order to file a Gwinnett County divorce case the Plaintiff must pay the Gwinnett County Superior Court Clerk's eFiling fees of $237.00.
There will be no service fee if the Defendant properly executes an Acknowledgment of a Service form. If personal service of the Summons and Divorce Complaint is required then the sheriff's department charges $50.00 to serve the Defendant.
If a Gwinnett County divorce case is settled and no hearing or trial is required then the only other court cost that you may have to pay is the cost for copies at the Gwinnett County Superior Court Clerk's office. Regular copies are $.25 per page and certified copies are $2.25 for the first page.
Uncontested divorce cases are the least expensive types of divorce cases because there are less court costs and litigation expenses than contested divorces cases which are more complex and require much more time to prepare and try cases in court.
